Plum hollow attire

Etiquette and Attire

The intent of the code is to make our environment more enjoyable and help sustain the quality of membership and standard of excellence upon which Plum Hollow Country Club was established. Proper attire while at Plum Hollow is not only important in the clubhouse, but also on the golf course and surrounding areas of the club.

Always Prohibited

Clothes deemed inappropriate at all times in the Clubhouse and on the Golf Course:

Athletic or jogging clothes (shirts and pants)

T-Shirts and sleeveless shirts without a collar

Tennis and swim apparel

Cargo style shorts

Hats and visor in the clubhouse

Hats and visors worn backwards

Clubhouse/Country Club attire means generally business attire or business casual. Appropriate attire for men includes business slacks and collared shirts. Golf appropriate shorts may also be worn. Tailored button down dress shirts are not required to be tucked in, unless on the golf course or practice grounds. Golf shirts must remain tucked in at all times. Casual dress appropriate shoes and loafers are required. Examples of acceptable attire for women include business slacks, dress capris, skirts and dress shorts, tailored shirts and blouses and sweaters. Attire for minors should reflect the same policy as for adults. Denim is not considered appropriate Country Club attire for adults or children.

Attire

Good taste and judgment should always prevail in the absence of a specific requirement. Plum Hollow prefers that its members and guests dress up rather than dress down when visiting the Club. Plum Hollow is a private club and in many ways an extension of the homes of our members. This should always be kept in mind in matters of dress and behavior at our club.

Country Club attire is always permitted in the Clubhouse and on the Golf Course. For the Golf Course, Country Club attire means:

N

Sleeved golf or sport shirts with a collar

N

Golf slacks or golf shorts

N

Sport coats and ties are not required as a general rule, but may be required for special events

N

Golf skirts or skorts for ladies

N

Ladies may wear sleeveless shirts with a collar

N

Golf shirts must remain tucked in at all times or for ladies must have a fitted waistband

N

Shorts and skirts should be fingertip length

N

Hats and visor are to be worn bill forward at all times
